Sharon is a highly experienced Indigenous Affairs professional with more than 25 years’ experience advising the resources sector, government and Traditional Owners on Indigenous relationships, Native Title, cultural heritage, land access and Indigenous engagement. She is recognised for her strategic leadership in navigating complex social, cultural and regulatory environments, and for building trusted relationships that deliver enduring outcomes for Indigenous communities and project proponents alike.

A proud descendant and member of Esperance Tjaltjraak and one of the few senior Aboriginal women to have held executive leadership roles within Australia’s resources sector, Sharon has negotiated and implemented Native Title and land access agreements, led cultural heritage management programs, and provided expert advice on Indigenous rights and interests across some of Australia’s most significant resource developments. She brings deep knowledge of Pilbara, West Kimberley and Goldfields Aboriginal communities, Traditional Owners and regional benefit agreements, grounded in more than two decades of practical experience and long-standing relationships.

Passionate about advancing Indigenous rights, self-determination and meaningful partnerships, Sharon combines lived experience with specialist expertise and academic study in Indigenous human rights. She is committed to helping organisations develop respectful, informed and sustainable approaches to working with Indigenous people and Country.
