Simon Corrigan
Director
Simon has more than two decades of experience in government relations, Indigenous affairs, community relations and communications and has held senior roles in major resources companies.
Starting his career as a political and ministerial advisor, Simon rose to a Chief of Staff role in WA’s Gallop / Carpenter government across several portfolios including Resources, Local Government, Regional Development and State Development.
He then moved into the resources sector and senior corporate affairs approvals roles at CITIC Pacific Mining, Atlas Iron and then BHP, where he became Head of Corporate Affairs at the Olympic Dam operations and progressed to be Head of Community and Indigenous Affairs for all Australian operations.
Prior to founding Corporate Affairs Australia in 2021, Simon was a Director at WA’s largest strategic communications firm Cannings Purple.
At CAA, Simon works with a diverse group of clients, providing expert guidance, insights and strategy development in government relations, Indigenous and community engagement, approvals processes and other areas.
He is a graduate of the AICD’s Company Directors Course.
